Mat 9:33 | Dan setelah setan itu diusir, dapatlah orang bisu itu berkata-kata. Maka heranlah orang banyak, katanya: "Yang demikian belum pernah dilihat orang di Israel." |
Mat 9:34 | Tetapi orang Farisi berkata: "Dengan kuasa penghulu setan Ia mengusir setan." |
DOA
Ya Tuhan Yesus Kristus
aku ingin melayani Mu Tuhan
Sebab Engkau begitu baik kepada ku
Hidupku aman di dalam tangan Mu Bapa
Sebab Engkaulah Allah yang Hidup
Di dalam hati kami
Amen
ENGLISH
Matthew 9:32-38
32 As they were going away, behold, a demon-oppressed man who was mute was brought to him.
33 And when the demon had been cast out, the mute man spoke. And the crowds marveled, saying, "Never was anything like this seen in Israel."
34 But the Pharisees said, "He casts out demons by the prince of demons."
35 And Jesus went throughout all the cities and villages, teaching in their synagogues and proclaiming the gospel of the kingdom and healing every disease and every affliction.
36 When he saw the crowds, he had compassion for them, because they were harassed and helpless, like sheep without a shepherd.
37 Then he said to his disciples, "The harvest is plentiful, but the laborers are few;
38 therefore pray earnestly to the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into his harvest."
REFLECTION
The Lord Jesus has extraordinary compassion when He sees the multitude of people wanting to be healed from all their diseases and weaknesses, just like sheep without a shepherd. Therefore, Jesus strives to serve them while saying, "The harvest is plentiful, but the laborers are few," meaning that the workers of the Lord are greatly needed to serve the many people who wish to be touched and healed by God's love.
Hence, as believers, we should also pray for an increase in spiritual workers, workers of the Lord, like the disciples of Jesus, so that they may grow in number and be able to serve all the people in the world who need the love of Jesus, including the healing of diseases and human weaknesses.
The question is, are we willing to become workers of Jesus, to serve the many people who want to come to Jesus? Hopefully, with the love of Almighty God the Father, we are given the wisdom to become servants of the Lord.
PRAYER
Lord Jesus Christ,
I want to serve You, Lord.
For You are so good to me,
My life is safe in Your hands, Father.
For You are the living God,
In our hearts.
Amen.
